Class and Workshop Schedule Fall 2009 and Christmas
Wednesday Nights at the StudioFall 09. Starts Sept.23. 6:30pm to 9:30 pm
9 sessions, $180,. Includes first 10 lbs of clay. You will learn how to “throw” pots using a potter’s wheel. There is also a handbuilding component. Suitable for beginners or return students.
Leaf Plate Workshop
Saturday Sept.12 and 28. 10 am to noon. Two-part workshop. $25. Includes all materials. You will make a functional plate using a real leaf as a template.
Platter Workshop
Tuesday Oct 13 and 27. 7pm to 9pm. Two-part workshop. $25. Includes all materials. Ideal for beginners and anyone wanting to try working with clay for the first time. Using handbuilding techniques, you will make a functional platter from clay. Various decorating and glazing options will be demonstrated.
Christmas Decoration Workshop
Saturday Nov.7 and Dec.5. 10am to noon. Two-part workshop. $25. Includes all materials. You will make a variety of ceramic decorations of your choice (snow flakes, candle holders, holly-leaf ornaments, others) using handbuilding techniques.. These would make perfect stocking stuffers.
Christmas Gift Workshop
Tuesday Nov.17 and Dec.1. 7pm to 9pm. Two-part workshop. $25. Includes all materials. You will make your choice of a variety of ceramic items that would be perfect for gifts. Items include small dishes, windchimes, kitchen and garden elements, small containers, others. Various handbuilding, decorating and glazing techniques will be demonstrated. All ages and abilities welcome.

Vase Workshop
Saturday Jan.16 and 30. 10 am to noon. Two-part workshop. $25. Includes all materials. You will make a clay vase using your choice of a variety of handbuilding techniques. A great way to learn the art and craft of pottery! Suitable for all ages and abilities.
Valentine Workshop
Tuesday Jan.19 and Feb.2. 7pm to 9pm. Two-part workshop. $25. Includes all materials. In time for Valentine’s Day! Make a unique clay “card” to give your loved-ones. Learn a variety of simple handbuilding and decorating techniques. Say “I love you” with clay!
Mug Workshop
Saturday Feb.13 and 27. 10am to noon. Two-part workshop. $25. Includes all materials. You will learn how to make an easy, functional and beautiful mug using handbuilding techniques. Who knew that pottery could be so easy!
Mom-and-Me Easter Basket Workshop
Saturday Mar.13 and 27. In time for Easter.! Here is a great project to share with your children (or grandchildren). Together, you will make a ceramic Easter Basket complete with clay flowers, bunnies, eggs and more. The possibilities are endless. This workshop is suitable for all ages.
Garden Elements Workshop
Tuesday April 6 and 20. 7pm to 9pm. Two-part workshop. $25. Includes all materials. This is for all you gardeners! Make a variety of ceramic pieces to enhance your garden, flowerbeds or even house plants,. You will make a variety of items including plant markers, small garden sculpture, wind chimes, fence decorations, and more. No experience necessary.
